Who we are
Next Stage Advisory (“we”, “us”) advises family-owned care businesses. This policy explains what we do with personal information collected through nextstage.care. We are the data controller for that information, and you can reach us at hello@nextstage.care.
What we collect, and why
When you make an enquiry. Our enquiry and workshop forms ask for your name and email address, and optionally the name of your business and a short message. We use that only to reply to you and to carry on the conversation that follows. Our lawful basis is legitimate interests: responding to someone who has asked us to get in touch. Enquiries are stored on this website and sent to us by email.
When you read the site. We use AnalyticsWP, an analytics tool that runs on our own server rather than a third party’s. It records which pages are viewed, roughly where in the world the visit came from, the type of device and browser used, and the site you arrived from. It sets one cookie, named unique_session_id, so that several page views in one visit are counted as one visit. Our lawful basis is legitimate interests: understanding how the site is used so we can improve it.
We do not use advertising or profiling cookies, we do not track you across other websites, and we do not sell personal information. This site loads no third-party scripts, fonts, embeds or trackers at all.
Cookies
The site sets one cookie:
- unique_session_id — set by our own analytics, so that several page views in one visit are counted as one visit. It is not used to identify you, it is never shared, and no profile is built about you.
Because this measurement stays on our own server and is only ever used as aggregate statistics, we rely on the statistical-purposes exemption rather than asking you to accept cookies before you can read the site. You can switch it off whenever you like: use the cookie preferences button in the bottom corner of any page, and your choice is remembered. You can also delete or block cookies in your browser. Nothing on this site stops working if you do.
How long we keep it
We keep enquiry messages for as long as we are in contact with you about them, and delete them once that conversation has clearly ended. Analytics records are kept only while they are useful for understanding how the site is used.
Who else handles it
Our website is hosted by Flywheel, part of WP Engine, who store the site and its data on our behalf. Email is handled by our email provider. Both act on our instructions. We do not share personal information with anyone else unless the law requires it.
Your rights
You can ask us for a copy of the information we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, or object to our using it. Email hello@nextstage.care and we will reply within one month.
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy we will update the date at the top of this page.
